Planck spacecraft operation continued, provides the most detailed look at the remnant microwave radiation from 'Big Bang'.3/23/13 The European Space Agency's (ESA) Planck spacecraft's key instrument, the 70 GHz microwave receivers were designed and built by a Finnish consortium VTT - Technical Research Centre of Finland and DA-Design Ltd. The product assurance activities of the LFI-70 instrument were managed by AL Safety Design Ltd. The original mission has been extended due to the high reliability of the LFI-70 instrument. The first extensive data package from the spacecraft has been now analyzed with new findings of the origin of our universe. See for example 'Spaceflightnow' or 'Astronomynow'. Figure (by VTT). One set (of total 6) of The 70 GHz microwave receiver's front-end (smaller) and back-end (larger) modules, built by DA-Design Ltd, Finland. Inside the modules lie the MMIC InP chips, enabling measurements on a totally new precision level.
